Wilmington, DE, May 23, 2011—Media Contact: MaryLynn Mack, 302-295-2390; mlmack@dehistory.org. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—Seven Brandywine Valley museums are joining institutions all over the United States to thank our military personnel and their families for their service and sacrifice by offering them free admission from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The program represents a broad range of art, history, science, and culture for children and adults. More than 1,300 museums are participating.
"Military families deserve our appreciation for the challenges they face," said MaryLynn Mack, president of the Brandywine Museums & Gardens Alliance. "We are delighted to join the rest of the country in welcoming them to our extraordinary cultural attractions, and by waiving the admission fees this summer."
